How CNC Press Brake Machine Works
Sheet placement
The operator (or an automated sheet follower) positions the sheet metal against the back gauge fingers.
Back gauge positioning
The CNC/NC back gauge moves to the programmed bend-line position, precisely and repeatably.
Bending
The upper beam (ram) drives the punch down into the die, forming the bend to the programmed angle and depth.
Output
The bent part is removed and, for multi-bend parts, repositioned for the next bend in the sequence.
